i really had a hard time
trying to figure it out
the comic book i held
had pictures
how did they get
on those pages
of course they were true
but how did the book
know
what had happened
when my mother
who was putting
on my shoes
told me that someone
had drawn these pictures
i did not understand
what that meant
i did not tell her
i did not want her
to know
i was stupid
