i used to talk to friends about Mighty Heroes even before i knew anything about Ralph Bakshi. it was one of those cartoons that would come on in the morning before school, but it always right when i needed to leave the house. therefore it was usually the one that made me late because i had to watch it all the way to the end. it was like nothing else. great, funny characters. amazing art, like no other animation i’d seen. killer story structure that was new and nostalgic at the same time. and music! right up there with Space Ghost and Johnny Quest. i would say these things to people and they would just stare at me blankly. oh well, their loss.

Wow!!!! This is awesome news! I watched this on vhs almost 20 years ago at my Grandparents and really loved it! I was actuall was thinking of this movie the other day wondering if it was ever gonna get a nice dvd re-release and here it comes! I am a big Ralph Bakshi fan( since seeing Hey Good Lookin’ on late night cable when i was 11!!!) so this is great news! Can’t wait for this too come out and add too my Bakshi collection! Hope too see more oiore of his films released/re-released on dvd! Thank you!

Hell. Yeah. Blu-Ray now has a clear reason for existing!! If we could only get Coonskin on BR also…(and Heavy Traffic, and American Pop, and, well, everything else!!).

that is the best cartoon ever
especially Elwy and the tree weasles
I will never forget how hard we laughed when it first came on tv on Saturday morning
Tears were pouring from my eyes from hysterical laughter
I just turned 50 and I grew up loving cartoons like beanie and cecil and Warner Bros and Ren and Stimpy
but NAMM is my fave!!!!
I just ordered it on amazon
