“Ralph Bakshi’s animated The Lord of the Rings film will be released in a new Deluxe Edition DVD and Blu-ray on April 6. The standard DVD will be priced at $19.98 SRP while the BD will be priced at $29.99 SRP.”
There is also a bonus documentary “Forging Through the Darkness” -On Bakshi’s story making LOR. Finally…and it’s great.

Now let’s hope ALL Bakshis movies comes in blu… Would give up quite alot of cash to see coonskin and hey good lookin remastered and in hi-def.

Wow!!!! This is awesome news! I watched this on vhs almost 20 years ago at my Grandparents and really loved it! I was actuall was thinking of this movie the other day wondering if it was ever gonna get a nice dvd re-release and here it comes! I am a big Ralph Bakshi fan( since seeing Hey Good Lookin’ on late night cable when i was 11!!!) so this is great news! Can’t wait for this too come out and add too my Bakshi collection! Hope too see more oiore of his films released/re-released on dvd! Thank you!
