I was taking some frame grabs from the original Wizards for use as reference for everyone working on this book, and not soon after I started I realized again how amazing these backgrounds are. Here are a few:

In Production...

In late 2004, the Wizards II comic book went into production and is slowly taking shape. A group of comic artists is currently putting together the book in an anthology format. The stories are from the Wizards "universe" and each created by a different artist.

The entire project is being produced by Ralph Bakshi and Victoria Yudis and the book is being edited by Chris McD.

Artists currently include:

Brandon Graham
Cause B
James Jean
Thomas Herpich
Chris McD

If you are familiar with Meathaus, then these names might also be familiar. And of course the book will feature Ralph Bakshi's own work. Besides the original comics, behind the scenes production art from the movie Wizards and more is being looked at for inclusion in this first issue.

Now, in 2005 the book is coming together... but slowly. Check back here for updates on the status throughout the next few months. Thanks for all the interest in the book!
